Revolut Airport Lounges: Copenhagen Opens 2027

Poinews.com – Revolut is set to launch a network of premium airport lounges across Europe, beginning with its first location at Copenhagen Airport in 2027. The CPH Revolut Lounge will be the largest common-use lounge in the Schengen area, marking a significant step for the fintech company as it moves beyond purely digital banking into physical travel hospitality.

The Copenhagen Lounge and a Wider European Network

The Copenhagen opening is the first node in what Revolut describes as a “network of premium lounges across some of Revolut’s priority markets” planned over the coming years. Plaza Premium Group, which already operates the world’s largest network of airport lounges, will manage day-to-day operations at the facility. Specific access rules for cardholders have not yet been published, though the company has signalled that lounge entry will be tied to its paid subscription tiers.

“Everyone agrees airport lounges tend to underwhelm. We want to bring our design ethos into the real world and will be creating something gutsy and beautiful,” said Hadi Nasrallah, director for product GP and new bets at Revolut. “Copenhagen is a perfect fit – the city can be similarly described and sits in a key growth market for us, the Nordics. We’ll strive to set a new standard for airport hospitality across Europe and bring more unique benefits to Revolut customers when they travel.”

Revolut, founded in the United Kingdom, currently allows account holders across the European Economic Area, Switzerland, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Singapore, and Japan to use its banking and travel features. The company’s expansion into physical lounge space represents a notable pivot from its earlier purely digital model, and Revolut is set to launch additional locations in other priority markets once the Copenhagen operation is up and running.

Travel Benefits Across Revolut Account Tiers

While the standard (free) Revolut account is open to everyone, several monthly plans are explicitly designed for frequent travellers. The Ultra plan, priced at €55 per month, bundles unlimited airport lounge access, an eSIM with 3 GB of global data, unlimited fee-free currency exchange, global medical insurance, car-hire excess insurance, and coverage for delayed flights, lost or damaged luggage. Subscribers also receive three WeWork location credits and 20 ClassPass credits each month.

Across all account levels, users can accumulate RevPoints and transfer them to select airline and hotel loyalty programmes. Revolut is not the only European neobank courting the traveller segment: Dutch challenger bank Bunq offers multi-currency accounts with premium tiers that include eSIM data, travel insurance, and fee-free foreign-currency payments. Other continental alternatives include Wise, N26, and Starling Bank, each of which targets different traveller needs.

FAQ: Practical Questions About the Revolut Lounge

Who can access the lounge? Access details are still being finalised. Revolut has indicated that lounge entry will be linked to its paid subscription plans, with the Ultra tier explicitly including unlimited airport lounge access.

Which company operates the lounge? Plaza Premium Group, the operator behind the world’s largest airport-lounge network, will manage day-to-day operations at the CPH Revolut Lounge.
