The crew received two Russian Progress MS spacecraft loaded with essential supplies including water, fuel, and atmospheric gases to support life on the ISS throughout their mission. Following their landing, the team will undergo comprehensive medical examinations before traveling to Karaganda in central Kazakhstan. There, they will reunite with recovery teams before being transported to their respective destinations. NASA has arranged for Williams to fly to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, while Kud-Sverchkov and Mikaev will head to the Star City training facility near Moscow.
A replacement US Russian space crew returns team had already arrived at the space station earlier this month aboard the Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft. This new group includes NASA astronaut Anil Menon and Roscosmos cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina. They joined existing crew members NASA’s Jessica Meir, Jack Hathaway, European Space Agency astronaut Sophie Adenot, and cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev as they prepared for Expedition 75. This upcoming expedition begins on Sunday and is scheduled to conclude in spring 2027.
Expedition 75 will see the team explore in-space manufacturing techniques, augmented reality and artificial intelligence methods for crew health checks, as well as bioprinting human tissue, according to NASA.
