The Cockroach movement originated more than a month ago when serious allegations emerged regarding leaks in several of India’s most prestigious entrance examinations. What began as a focused campaign for education reforms rapidly evolved into a broader social movement addressing unemployment concerns, government accountability, and economic opportunities for young Indians. Students, working professionals, families, and activists from diverse backgrounds joined rallies across New Delhi and other major cities throughout the country.
