Available since June 12, the latest update allows users to explore the globe with a simplified flight experience. Accessing the Simulator
To begin, visit earth.google.com, click ‘Explore Earth,’ navigate to the tools section, and select the flight simulator. For more control, refer to the Developers’ page, which lists shortcuts for adjusting speed, direction, and aircraft maneuvers. The interface is user-friendly, though mastering its intricacies takes time.
We can’t say we’ve quite got the hang of it ourselves (aside from channelling our inner Fox McClouds and doing several barrel rolls), but it is a lot of fun to play around with.
