Poinews.com – The IJF World Judo Tour made its way to Qingdao, China, for the Grand Prix event. The coastal city, known for its scenic beauty, showcased top-tier judo competition with standout performances from local athletes and international stars.

-48kg Division

In the -48kg category, home favorite Wenna ZHUANG faced Tugce BEDER. The local crowd erupted in applause as ZHUANG secured victory with a decisive waza-ari followed by an ippon, marking her first Grand Prix win.

-60kg Category

Hayato KONDO showcased composure against Charlie AYRE in the -60kg division. His clever counter move led to a waza-ari, earning him his second gold medal in Qingdao.

-52kg Final

Kokoro FUJISHIRO demonstrated skillful technique by executing a powerful waza-ari and an armlock ippon in the -52kg final. This dynamic shift allowed her to claim her maiden Grand Prix title.

-66kg Match

Hifumi ABE delivered a strong performance in the -66kg category, defeating Gusman KYRGYZBAYEV with a yuko. The IJF Referee Director, Ms Tina TRSTENJAK, presented the medals for this match.

-57kg Division

Maysa PARDAYEVA stunned the audience with a remarkable ippon in the -57kg division, defeating Martha FAWAZ. His Excellency Mr Battulga KHALTMAA, a member of the IJF Executive Committee, awarded the medals.

The event concluded with a display of technical precision and determination. As the IJF Education & Coaching Director, Mr Mohammed MERIDJA, and IJF Sport Director, Mr Kosei INOUE, presented the final awards, the crowd celebrated the athletes’ achievements.
